Three-time Cosafa Cup champions Angola secured an important win after beating Seychelles 3-2 in an entertaining clash at the Wolfson Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Angola dominated the match in the early stages and Laurindo Aurelio gave the Palancas Negras a deserved lead in the ninth minute. However, Johan Gamatice levelled matters for Seychelles in the 26th minute.
Both teams had plenty of chances as the game progressed, but it remained 1-1 at the break.
Seychelles recovered from conceding early and took the lead for the first time in the match when Brandon Labrosse doubled their lead in the 46th minute.
Nonetheless, The Pirates’ lead lasted just 12 minutes before Aurelio completed his brace when he equalised for the Palancas Negras. Antonio Muanza, better known as Maestro, netted the winning goal for the Palancas Negras in the 78th minute.
Angola are at the top of the Group C table with four points, while Seychelles, Lesotho, and Namibia are level on one point.

Laurindo Aurelio, affectionately known as Depu, deserves to be honoured ahead of everyone after his outstanding showing.
The Angola forward scored two goals to help his side secure crucial points.
THE BIG LOSER
Seychelles made a promising start into the second half, dominating their opponents and scoring their second goal.
However, in the last 20 minutes of the match, their defence appeared disorganised, allowing Angola to stage a comeback.
WHAT COMES NEXT?
Angola will face Lesotho in their last group match on Wednesday, July 3. Meanwhile, Seychelles will lock horns with Namibia on the same date.
Namibia and Lesotho are set to play their second games in Group C on Monday afternoon.
