WHAT HAPPENED?
Eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi put on another international football clinic in that contest, as he was involved in both goals for Argentina as they claimed a 2-0 victory over Canada. The all-time great may be closing in on his 37th birthday, but he is showing no sign of slowing down.

Messi’s three sons are now at an age where they can appreciate what their father does for a living, and how good he is at it. They have followed him to the United States, with places being taken up in the academy system of MLS side Inter Miami.

It may that the name Messi graces the back of another Argentina jersey at some stage in the future, with Thiago having already nailed his allegiance to that mast. For now, the Messi clan are enjoying watching a genius at work – with the best seats in the house taken up at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
WHAT NEXT FOR MESSI?
Antonela has been finding ways to keep the kids amused while her husband is on international duty, with visits taken in to Disney World and Universal Studios from their Miami base in Florida. They are now out on the road with Argentina, who will be back in Copa action next Tuesday when facing Chile in New Jersey.
