Kyle Walker’s former mistress, Lauryn Goodman, is reportedly ready to defy England warnings and head to Euro 2024 with WAG documentary cameras in tow.
- Experienced defender in Germany
- Wife watching on from the stands
- Mother of other children heading out
WHAT HAPPENED?
The model and social media influencer, who has two children with Manchester City defender Walker, was said to have been urged by the Football Association to stay away from this summer’s tournament in Germany – with the Three Lions camp eager to avoid any distractions off the field.
THE GOSSIP
Goodman did not travel for their opening game against Serbia, but it has been claimed that she will jet out for England’s final Group C fixture against Slovenia in Cologne on June 25. A camera crew will head out with her, with the 33-year-old set to star in a new docu-ality show about life as a WAG.
WHAT A SOURCE SAID
A source has told The Sun of Goodman ignoring appeals not to take in live England games: “Lauryn truly believes that Kyle will want his son there. She has been given tickets and the flights have been sorted out for her to go. Kyle and Lauryn aren’t speaking since Annie [Kilner] found out they have a daughter together too. But when they were, during the World Cup, it was Kyle who actually asked for Kairo to be at the Euros. Since that day, Kairo has been excited. What little lad wouldn’t be? Kairo shouldn’t have to watch his daddy playing for his country from a TV set in England — he deserves to be there. Kairo has been filling in a chart with football-shaped stickers. It is in his bedroom and he fills it in every night. Lauryn doesn’t encourage it — Kairo has been football mad since he was tiny. He has football goal nets in the living room too. He plays every morning before nursery and gets Lauryn to tackle him.”
DID YOU KNOW?
The source added on Goodman deciding to join Walker’s wife Annie in attending Three Lions fixtures, despite the potential for conflict behind the scenes: “She was offered tickets for the first match and was planning to go but turned them down at the last minute. She knew the focus would turn to her and she would be blamed by fans if they didn’t win, or if Kyle played badly. She doesn’t want that pressure on her or Kairo. Going to Germany is not about some daft WAG war, it is about being a good parent.”
WHAT NEXT?
Walker has been trying to rebuild his relationship with long-term partner Kilner since it emerged that he had fathered a second child with Goodman. He and Kilner are now parents to four kids of their own, with the 34-year-old reportedly eager for all of his children to see him in international tournament action while he is still at the level required to grace such a stage.
