WHAT HAPPENED?
Mourinho has signed a two-year contract at Fenerbahce and returns to management for the first time since his dismissal from Roma. The former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United boss initially claimed the deal was not complete on Saturday night, but later the club posted a video of Mourinho’s statement to the fans.
WHAT MOURINHO SAID
In a video posted on Fenerbahce’s social media accounts, Mourinho said: “Merhaba [Hello] Fenerbahce fans! See you tomorrow at Kadikoy and let’s start our journey together.”

The Portuguese coach takes over a side that finished second in the Turkish Super Lig. Despite accruing 99 points, Fenerbahce fell short of their great rivals Galatasaray and the title by just three points. Mourinho has been tasked with returning the club to the top of the tree.
