- Pulisic & Co. qualified for UCL again
WHAT HAPPENED?
The San Siro side have experienced a staggering increase in revenue and a rapidly growing fanbase in what has been a fruitful few years, according to a report titled The European Elite 2024 by Football Benchmark.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Football Benchmark has analysed the top 32 teams on the continent and calculated that Milan have experienced a year-on-year growth of 35 percent. Over the last eight seasons, that figure reaches 163% over the last eight seasons – a greater rate than any other European side. Operating revenues have increased by 84% over the last five years and a significant improvement over the last year has seen matchday revenues more than double.
DID YOU KNOW?
The Rossoneri have gone to great lengths to invest in their future, too. They have invested more than any other team in Italy over the last three years, the report says, with €191.1 million (£163m/$207m) net being spent on improving their senior squad.
WHAT NEXT FOR AC MILAN?
The Serie A side, who won the Scudetto in 2022-23, have qualified for the Champions League four years in a row, reaching the semi-finals last year, too. They finished second in the Italian top-flight this term, 19 points behind Inter. They will aim to improve on their fine season again next term, with the likes of Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao fired up to bring glory back to the club.
