WHAT HAPPENED?
The American aviation company are front of shirt sponsors for the Red Dragons, with that partnership put in place by Hollywood co-owners at SToK Racecourse. Word of Wrexham is now spreading to every corner of the planet, with an award-documentary series opening up a window to the world.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
United are further strengthening their ties to the Welsh outfit by offering limited edition gifts to those flying in premium cabins. The Wrexham-inspired amenity cases and pouches, which are reusable and feature the club crest, are filled with “travel essentials like an eye mask, ear plugs, lip balm, cleansing towelette, toothbrush and toothpaste as well as exclusive Therabody skincare products”.
DID YOU KNOW?
Customers taking in flights of 14 hours or more will also be offered the chance to take ownership of special Pjs that boast a “red, long-sleeve shirt with the Wrexham AFC and United logos on the front, designed to resemble the team jersey, plus grey pants with the United logo on the hip”.
WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?
The offer becomes available from June 1, with Wrexham preparing to head back to North America this summer. United Airlines are official sponsors of that pre-season tour, which will see Phil Parkinson’s side take in friendly dates with Premier League sides Bournemouth and Chelsea, as well as MLS outfit the Vancouver Whitecaps – in the home town of Deadpool star Reynolds.
