- Blues proud of West Midlands native
- Talismanic presence for club & country
- American football icon is a big fan
WHAT HAPPENED?
Brady is now an investor and member of the board at St Andrew’s, with those in the West Midlands still rightly proud of everything that one of their own is achieving. On the back of La Liga and Champions League triumphs with Real Madrid in 2023-24, Bellingham is now starring on the international stage.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
He netted England’s first goal of that tournament, and continues to be a talismanic figure for the Three Lions despite the odd question being asked of his contribution to the cause at the end of a what has been a gruelling campaign – with the 21-year-old still nursing a shoulder problem that may require surgery.
DID YOU KNOW?
Bellingham dug England out of a serious hole in their last-16 showdown with Slovakia, as they trailed that contest heading towards the sixth minute of stoppage-time. There was to be a dramatic twist in the tale, with Bellingham scoring a sublime overhead kick that left American football legend Brady stunned.

WHAT NEXT?
Having forced extra-time, England went on to claim a 2-1 win courtesy of a header from Harry Kane. They are now preparing for a quarter-final clash with Switzerland and will once again be looking to Bellingham – who has seen his old No.22 shirt retired at Birmingham – for inspiration.
