WHAT HAPPENED?
The French midfielder is a free agent at the moment after his Juventus contract expired on June 30. The player is tipped to join another club ahead of the 2024-25 season, however, Calciomercato reports that the Bianconeri are confident of retaining the player’s services.

The report further adds that the Serie A giants have prepared a new two-year deal for the 29-year-old which is worth €7 million (£5m/$8m) per season with an option to extend by another year. New manager Thiago Motta is known to be an admirer of the Frenchman and wants to keep the player as he looks to rebuild the team.

In his final season in Turin, the player appeared in 35 matches across all competitions where he scored five goals and provided three assists.
