There will be many takers for the Golden Boot award in the tournament, while the likes of France, Spain, England and hosts Germany may be tipped as the favourites to win the 17th edition of the European Championship.

From Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid transfer making headlines ahead of the Euros to Cristiano Ronaldo looking to add to his record tally, apart from England’s Harry Kane and Germany’s Florian Wirtz, there will be new challengers emerging through the length of the tournament.

Ivan Schranz Slovakia Euro 2024

The Slavia Prague player bagged the winner against Belgium and the opener in the 2-1 loss to Ukraine. He missed out on scoring in the third game but registered his third goal against England in the Round-of-16.

Kai Havertz Germany 2024

The Arsenal forward’s goal and an assist in Germany’s 5-1 victory over Scotland put him among the early favourites for the European Golden Boot. His second goal of the tournament came in the 2-0 win over Denmark in the knockouts.

The Liverpool forward netted in the 2-1 win over Poland in the Oranje’s opening game, before adding to his tally in the 2-3 loss to Austria.

Having come off the bench to score in the opening game – a 5-1 win over Scotland, the Borussia Dortmund forward did it again with the late equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Switzerland.

The Real Madrid star stepped up to the occasion to score in the Serbia win for England. He then scored a crucial injury-time goal against Slovakia in the Round-of-16.

Fabian Ruiz was involved in the first two goals of Spain’s 3-0 drubbing of Croatia, with the Paris Saint-Germain man assisting the first and scoring the second. He then scored and assisted in the Round-of-16 to help Spain beat Georgia 4-1.
