WHAT HAPPENED?
The 22-year-old playmaker is holidaying in the Indian Ocean after seeing the 2023-24 campaign come to a close. He spent last season on the books of Almeria, registering six goals for them through 34 appearances on the back of completing a transfer from Santiago Bernabeu.

Arribas is aĀ product of Realās famed academy system and took in 14 senior outingsĀ for Los Blancos, scoring one goal, before deciding to go in search of more regular game time elsewhere. He is working on a six-year contract at Almeria ā who have been relegated out of La Liga.

Arribas had been hoping to relax and unwind after tumbling out of the top tier in Spain, but has experienced plenty of drama in the idyllic surrounds of a luxury apartment in the Maldives ā with the slide attached to the holiday home used to help save the lives of two fellow holidaymakers who got into trouble while swimming in open water.

Cries for help were heard by Arribas as he chilled with his partner in a private pool, with the midfielder quickly springing into action with a lifebuoy ring. He was joined by his girlfriend and another flotation device as they helped to bring the struggling couple back to dry land.
