WHAT HAPPENED?
Manchester United are looking to sign a new centre-back this season following a poor defensive season and as they look to cover the departure of Raphael Varane. As per French publication RMC Sports, Solet has become a potential target for the Red Devils with Ten Hag interested in a number of defensive targets.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The centre-back has had a very good season in the centre of defence for Gerhard Struber’s side, and Salzburg are reportedly expecting around €12m-15m for the defender. His current deal is set to end in the summer of 2025 and he is keen on making a move away this summer.
DID YOU KNOW?
Last month, RMC Sport had also linked the 24-year-old with a move to West Ham, who are also looking to solidify their defence following the departure of David Moyes from the helm of the club. However, that deal has not progressed anywhere and it could be possible that the Red Devils could face competition from the London side.
WHAT NEXT FOR SOLET?
The French defender is likely to move clubs this summer but it will remain to be seen where he will end up next season, however, he will hope to confirm his move before the start of pre-season.
