2025 Afcon Qualifiers Draw: Teams, day, time, how to watch & follow your favourite team

Teams in Africa will soon know who they will be competing with in their bid to feature in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

This is a biennial tournament that brings together the best teams in the continent, with the champion getting some prize money and a trophy.

The qualifiers are set for later in the year and Footballblogzz provides you with every information you need to know ahead of the draw.

WHERE WILL 2025 AFCON BE HELD?

The Confederation of African Football is set to continue with its plans for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco.

So far, the dates for the biennial competitions have not been set thanks to a busy schedule as far as the football calendar is concerned.

WHEN IS THE DRAW & HOW WILL YOU WATCH?

The Africa Football Governing Body has shared its plans as far as the 2025 Afcon qualifiers are concerned.

“The journey [to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco] will resume with the draw for the qualifiers on Thursday, 04 July 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa,” the body revealed through theirĀ media team.

“The draw will be conducted at SuperSport studios in South Africa at 14h30 local time ([15h30 Cairo time, 12h30 GMT).”

WHICH COUNTRIES WILL BE INVOLVED?

Defending champions Ivory Coast, Nigeria – who finished second in the latest edition and South Africa who beat the Democratic Republic of Congo to bronze, are some of the teams that will be part of the draw.

Other nations areĀ Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini and Ethiopia.

Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe complete the list.

WHEN WILL THE QUALIFIERS START

Caf have confirmed the campaign will start in September this year whereby the aforementioned teams will be chasing the available 24 tickets in the 35th edition to be staged in North Africa.
