Koopmeiners has invited attraction from multiple clubs this summer thanks to his exploits this season with Atalanta in Serie A. As such, the Red Devils have shown interest in the 26-year-old Dutchman, with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe looking to overhaul the dressing room; Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek could all depart, leaving room in midfield for Koopmeiners. As per Calciomercato, United would be ready to pay around €60 million (£51m/$64.8m).

New Liverpool boss Arne Slot has also demanded the signing of Koopmeiners this summer with the Reds boss having managed the midfielder during their time at AZ Alkmaar. Slot rates Koopmeiners’ positionally flexibility and would like to have a familiar face in his ranks as he begins his debut campaign at Anfield.
