Having put a season-long loan deal in place back in September 2023, Getafe may have just one more fixture to take in with Greenwood in their squad. He has caught the eye for them across a productive campaign in Spain, with double figures being reached in the goalscoring department.

Interest has been building steadily in Greenwood, amid the uncertainty regarding his future at Old Trafford, and the likes of Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund are all said to be mulling over approaches in the summer transfer window.

Getafe have not given up hope of keeping Greenwood around – with there an extension option in his United contract that could be triggered and allow another loan to be sanctioned – and they continue to talk up the 22-year-old forward. He is now considered to be sporting royalty on the outskirts of Madrid.

WHAT NEXT FOR GREENWOOD?
Greenwood is giving little away, at least in public, when it comes to his plans for the immediate and long-term future. The expectation is that he will be on the move again this summer, but whether that deal is permanent and what his asking price stands at remains to be seen.
