WHAT HAPPENED?
The Blues have shown the door to the Argentine manager despite him guiding the team to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League in the 2023/24 campaign. Pochettino also helped the Blues reach the Carabao Cup final and the FA Cup semi-final.
As Todd Boehly and Co. parted ways with their head coach, fans took to social media to express their anger against the club owners.
WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING
An angry fan Brxyne_17 called out the club on their decision to sack Pochettino as he wrote: “Chelsea is the most worst run institution in the world.”
An account named Malik Ofori questioned the Blues’ decision to part ways with their manager after just one season, adding: “Big mistake.”
Meanwhile, Idich accused the owners of ruining Chelsea by posting: “The owners have destroyed this club. new managers every 2 seasons. Players having to adjust every time. disgraceful club now. shocked honestly.”
And Blues fan Austin blasted the club for not making any progress as he wrote: “One step forward, two steps back. It’s the Chelsea way.”

Since Boehly took charge of the club ahead of the 2022/23 season, a total of five managers – Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Bruno Salter, Frank Lampard and Pochettino – have exited Stamford Bridge. Pochettino departs after just one campaign and after a strong end to the season that yielded five straight wins to secure European football for next season.
WHAT NEXT FOR CHELSEA?
The club have been linked with several managers including Sporting CP’s Ruben Amorim and Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna. Thomas Tuchel, who recently left Bayern Munich, has also been tipped to make a comeback to the club, according to Florian Plettenberg.
