WHAT HAPPENED?
Only earlier this month,Xavi announced he would be making staying on as Barcelona manager after having announced previously that he would be departing the club. However, in another turn of events, Barcelona president, Laporta has been urged to get rid of the legendary midfielder due to his words ahead of the Catalan side’s clash against Almeria, as per COPE.

In his press conference, Xavi addressed the club’s financial situation and having to adjust to the new demands due to those economic restrictions. Xavi’s words angered Laporta and the club’s board with those close to the club president suggesting that the 44-year-old cannot continue as the coach of the club past this summer.
