- Hoops have retained domestic crown
- Could complete double over Gers
- American defender revelling in success
WHAT HAPPENED?
The United States international is typically a reserved character, with the 26-year-old defender hardly renowned for outlandish bursts of emotion. He was, however, front and centre during an alcohol-fuelled party that has accompanied Celtic’s latest title triumph.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The Hoops have been able to fend off the challenge of Old Firm foes Rangers to retain their domestic crown, with the Glasgow giants completing a hat-trick of triumphs on that front. Some 16 years ago, former Celtic star Aiden McGeady saw a video of him bellowing “Unlucky Rangers, three in a row” go viral.
DID YOU KNOW?
Carter-Vickers has dusted that routine down during a visit to popular nightspot Wunderbar – much to the delight of Celtic supporters. The commanding centre-half has been restricted to 29 appearances this season due to injury, but remains a talismanic presence for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
WHAT NEXT FOR CARTER-VICKERS?
Carter-Vickers will get the chance to complete a domestic double, while getting another one over on Rangers, in the Scottish Cup final on May 25. He will also be hoping to form part of the USMNT squad that heads into Copa America action on home soil this summer.
