As Sunday’s Premier League clash between United and Arsenal approached full-time, fans were left bemused watching water leaking through the roofs of Old Trafford amid torrential downpours. The hosts went down 1-0 courtesy of a first-half strike from Leandro Trossard.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Concerns were raised over the poor condition of Old Trafford’s infrastructure earlier in the season. However, the club hierarchy concluded that renovation works could not be commenced while the season was still ongoing.
